School Uniform

Governors, the Senior Leadership team and the School Council feel that it is an important part of school life for all children to wear the correct school uniform every day as it gives a greater sense of school community and belonging. It is not compulsory to wear sweatshirts with the school logo, but we do expect all children to wear our school colours (see below).

For the academic year 2023-24, pupils are asked to wear clothing and shoes suitable for PE plus their school sweatshirt on the days they have PE (see separate letter from Mr Manning in the 'Letters Home' section which was emailed out to parents in August 2023).

Girls

  • Sensible black shoes (with closed backs) or black trainers (no coloured logos)
  • Emerald green jumper or cardigan
  • White polo shirt or blouse
  • Black or grey skirt
  • Black or grey trousers or leggings
  • Green & white gingham dresses
  • Black or grey 3/4 length jubba with black or grey trousers or leggings underneath
  • Headscarves are optional but, if worn, should be plain emerald green, black or white headscarves - no pins or broaches allowed

Boys

  • Sensible black shoes (with closed backs) or black trainers (no coloured logos)
  • Emerald green jumper
  • White polo shirt or shirt
  • Black or grey trousers
  • Black or grey 3/4 length jubba with black or grey trousers underneath

P.E Kit

  • Black plimsolls / trainers
  • Black shorts (not baggy), black leggings or black tracksuit bottoms (with elasticated waist and ankles)
  • Emerald green t-shirt or emerald green close fitting long sleeved top
  • Headscarves are discouraged for safety reasons but, if worn, should be lycra and tucked in - no pins or broaches allowed
  • No jewellery should be worn for PE lessons or swimming, it is much safer if all jewellery is left at home to avoid loss or damage

PE and swimming are part of the National Curriculum and they are a legal requirement for all children. Clothing should be appropriate for the activity and allow the wearer to take part without risk of injury to themselves or other participants. The clothing we recommend ensure dignity and modesty are respected.

Uniform with the school logo can be purchased from Uniform Direct (see link below). All other items are available in most high street retailers, including supermarkets. We also hold second hand uniform sales during the school year, with profits going to charity or to school fundraising projects.  Details of second hand uniform sales will be shared with families via email and the school newsletter.

The school does not encourage children to wear jewellery for safety reasons.
