Evington Valley Primary School

Pupil Leadership

At Evington Valley Primary School, we believe it is vital to empower our pupils by giving them a voice, fostering responsibility, and providing opportunities to explore their interests and passions.

To support this, we have established a range of leadership groups, with pupils acting as ambassadors across different areas of school life. Some representatives are chosen in recognition of the exceptional example they have set throughout their time at Evington Valley Primary, while others use their individual talents, skills, and enthusiasm to lead and support initiatives that help shape and improve our school community.

School Council

Our School Council plays a vital role in giving pupils a voice and helping to shape school life. As elected representatives, they listen to the ideas and opinions of their classmates, work closely with staff, and help make decisions that positively benefit the whole school community.

Through regular meetings, pupils develop leadership skills, confidence, and a sense of responsibility while ensuring that the views of all learners are heard and valued.

The School Council is committed to making our school an inclusive, welcoming, and enjoyable place where pupils feel heard and respected.

Eco Team

Our group consists of a child from every class between Year 1 and Year 6. We meet at least every three weeks and enjoy tackling issues that affect us in our daily lives. Working together, we discuss ways to make our school a greener, cleaner, and more environmentally friendly place. We help to raise awareness about important topics such as recycling, reducing waste, saving energy, and caring for our local environment.

Through projects, campaigns, and practical activities, we encourage everyone in our school community to make positive choices that help protect our planet.

As Eco Warriors, we are proud to be role models and to inspire others to make a difference, no matter how small our actions may seem.

Anti-Bullying Buddies

Our Anti-Bullying Buddies are caring and responsible pupils who help make our school a happy and friendly place.

They are always ready to listen, offer support, and help others feel included. By promoting kindness, respect, and teamwork, they help ensure that everyone feels safe, valued, and able to enjoy school.

Through their leadership, they encourage pupils to look out for one another and stand up against bullying in all its forms.
