Evington Valley is a friendly and thriving multi-cultural primary school, catering for children between three and eleven years of age. Our school population reflects the rich and diverse cultures living in Leicester and is situated near to the centre of the city in a busy shopping area, close to a mosque and commercial / industrial units.
We consider ourselves to be a caring school in which the pupils are treated as individuals and pupils of all races, cultures and abilities are fully included. The school actively respects and celebrates the heritage of its families and provides a broad and balanced curriculum that is inclusive of all pupils and reflects the society we live in.
The schools most recent Ofsted inspection was in January 2023, when it was confirmed that the school continues to be Good.
As you will see in the Ofsted Report:
- Pupils enjoy attending this school. They say teachers are kind and always available to help them.
- Pupils feel safe and happy in the environment teachers and leaders have created at this school.
- Staff and pupils really do demonstrate the ethos of the school, 'caring and learning together'.
- Teachers have the highest expectations of pupils. This is both for behaviour and what pupils can achieve academically.
Parent and carers are encouraged to support their child's learning, and are welcome to speak to the class teacher, Headteacher or Attendance & Welfare Officer (on Mondays and Tuesdays) to discuss any matters concerning them. To ensure adequate time is given, we do ask that an appointment is made at the school office.
